RJ Roggeveen (He/Him) is a third-year medical student, adaptive athlete, and co-founder of the Disabled Not Dead Society in Nova Scotia. As a wheelchair user, RJ is passionate about improving accessibility in healthcare and bridging the gap between lived experience and medical education.
Through social media, RJ challenges misconceptions about disability while highlighting adaptive sports, medical training, and local accessibility. From surfing and sit-skiing to hosting peer-led wheelchair skills programs, RJ’s aims to show that life with adaptations is just life, full of hopes, dreams, ups, and downs.
