ATHLETE / ADVOCATE FOR EXTREME ADAPTIVE SPORTS
Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham is a living testament to the power of grit, innovation, and pushing boundaries. Born with spina bifida and using a wheelchair full-time since the age of eight, Aaron didn’t let that limit his vision—instead, he redefined what was possible in action sports.
A true pioneer, Aaron is the founder of WCMX (Wheelchair Motocross), a sport that fuses the intensity of skateboarding and BMX with wheelchair riding. His fearless performances have catapulted him onto global stages, from viral YouTube fame to being a headline act with Nitro Circus, where he stuns audiences with flips, spins, and record-breaking tricks.
Beyond the ramps and arenas, Aaron is a powerful voice for the disability community. Through motivational speaking and candid storytelling, he challenges perceptions and proves that limitations are often just the beginning of greatness.
When it comes to his equipment, Aaron doesn’t compromise. “I use the Spinergy XSLX R10 wheels because they are lightweight but yet extremely durable. No other wheels put up with the abuse! When you’ve got the best, don’t worry about the rest.” That confidence and performance carry through in everything he does.
Aaron’s story is more than extreme—it’s extraordinary. He’s not just a daredevil in a wheelchair. He’s a world-changer who shows others how to fly.
