Spinergy XSLX Wheels & TC Max Handrims: The Perfect Combination of Looks and Durability

Spinergy XSLX Wheels & TC Max Handrims: The Perfect Combination of Looks and Durability

I have been using Spinergy wheels for almost 30 years, and if there's one thing on my wheelchair I never have to second-guess, it's my wheels.

My current setup is the Spinergy XSLX wheels paired with TC Max handrims, and for me, it's the perfect combination of looks, performance, and durability.

And believe me, I don't baby my equipment.

Whether I am working outside, climbing around equipment, accidentally hitting my wheels with a tractor bucket while moving my chair out of the way, or rubbing against concrete blocks, these wheels take a beating. But when it's time to clean up and look good for family pictures, they look just as good doing that, too.

One of the coolest things about Spinergy is the customization. Between choosing your rim, hub, and even individual spoke colors, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of possible combinations. You can make them as wild or as simple as you want.

But looks don't mean much if they don't hold up.

I have had sets of Spinergy wheels last me over 15 years of everyday use, and they were still in good enough condition to pass along to someone else. That's pretty impressive considering what I put them through.

When I started playing wheelchair basketball and got my first basketball chair, the very first upgrade I made was the wheels. It came with standard metal-spoked wheels that I never even used. Basketball wheels take a serious beating, and I already knew what I trusted. Spinergy XSLX wheels have handled everything I have thrown at them on the court.

Over the last two decades, I have used a variety of Spinergy wheelsets. They are incredibly durable, and the improvements they have made to their rims and spokes over the years have only made them better.

And the TC Max handrims? They are the finishing touch. I love the look, the feel, and how well they complement the wheels.

I have spent nearly three decades in a wheelchair. I have learned that some equipment you can get by with, and other equipment is worth investing in because you depend on it every single day.

For me, my wheels fall into that second category.

Whether I am working outside, playing basketball, chasing my kids, or dressing up for family pictures, I want wheels that can handle all of it.

That's why, after almost 30 years, I keep using Spinergy.

My perfect combination? Any Spinergy wheelset paired with TC Max handrims.

And that's coming from someone who puts them to the test, not just someone who likes how they look.
